Lerna was excavated in 1952-1958 by Prof. Caskey and a team of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. In the 1960's a large ugly shed was built over the "House of Tiles" and restoration works were carried out on various parts of the settlement. Below: There are still remains of the ancient plaster on the walls of the "House of Tiles". |
