Above right and below: Looking down onto foundations and parts of the upper structure of the (later) Doric temple of Hera, erected in the late 5th century BC. This temple with six pillars on the facade and twelve on the side. It was made of poros stone with marble for the metopes, pediments and roof tiles. Architect of the temple was Eupolemus. |
