It is only some 900 m SW from Nestor's palace downhill to the Bay of Navarino until you reach another, less frequented tholos tomb (also called "Tholos III"), next to a fieldhouse, and signposted on the road. Dated to the Late Helladic II - Late Helladic IIIB period, it is nearly as large as "Tholos IV", but its corbel-vault has collapsed and was not reconstructed.

Apparently many of its original stone blocks have been used for the construction of the fieldhouse in modern times, which sat right over the tomb. When Carl Blegen excavated the tholos, he had to rebuild the house next to it. The tholos tomb had been extensively plundered, but new finds still included objects of gold, faience, glasspaste and ivory.
