Something hanging from the ceiling, which turns out to be a root, just like from sidewalls. And there is a nail in the wall probably left by the looters to hang up a lamp for their nighttime activities. |

Unique in the Mycenaean cemetery of Aidonia - tomb 12 is the only shaft grave, situated between the dromoi of chamber tombs 10 and 11. The 5.25 m deep vertical shaft is closed off by a metal grating. The unplundered grave produced a headless skeleton of a horse sacrifice, several human remains and precious offerings showing that it was the tomb of a wealthy family, used from the 15th to the 13th century BC. |
