GREECE CRETE LASITHI PISKOKEPHALO-KLIMATARIA

Piskokephalo, or Klimataria, is 3 km south of Sitia. Just before entering the town, the remains of a Minoan villa can be seen on either side of the road (although the eastern part is severly damaged). What the road construction left over is the better preserved western part of the building, which is steeply terraced. - Above center: The staircase leading to the upper rooms of the Minoan villa. - Above right: Rooms 6 and 7 with doorway, and the staircase.
