Above left: Figurine, probably Hellenistic (no further information available). - Above center: Statue of Antinoos from the Roman baths at Edipsos. The young man is crowned with ivy leaves, bears a leopard skin on the body, and holds part of a stick with the sacred ivy (a symbol of Dionysos) in the left hand. Parts of the hands and legs are missing. Dated to the reign of Hadrian (2nd century AD). - Above right: Headless statue of Apollo from "Polles Kamares" at Chalkis. The god is represented leaning on the trunk of a tree. It is a copy dated to the Roman period. |
