GREECE PELOPONNESE MESSINIA VOIDOKOILIA

In 1874, Schliemann visited Nestor's cave and found some Mycenaean sherds. Then, in 1888, he conducted "spade research" at Palaiokastro in an unsuccessful attempt to find the capital of Nestor's kingdom.
