The Panagia Rachiotissa chapel on top of the hill is above the site, where a temple of Asklepios was presumed. It is the western plateau of the ancient acropolis, but there are only few remains of the Classical site in situ. The whitewashed chapel, however, includes within its walls various ancient building blocks and spolia from Classical to Byzantine times while others lie around on the ground. |

The bottom rows and the corners of the chapel seem to be made of ancient stones (above) while the upper structures (below) are probably newer. |
