GREECE PELOPONNESE ARGOLIS FICHTI FORTRESS

West of Fichti, near a makeshift farm and wrecked cars are forgotten ancient remains. The large limestone blocks in more or less polygonal masonry show the foundations of a square building that has been described by Louis E. Lord as "a ruined fortress of considerable dimensions" of the 4th century BC. Of the two enclosures that he mentions only one is preserved, reducing the dimensions significantly.
