GREECE PELOPONNESE ARGOLIS FICHTI MYCENAEAN

The road from Fichti to Mycenae crosses the out-of-service railroad line with the station of Mikine (above left). About 100 m North of this crossing are the remains of a quite forgotten ancient square tower. - I could not find much information about it, but to me it looks like a Mycenaean watchtower. Louis E. Lord suggests that it is a Mycenaean patrol station. However, his dating to Late Helladic IIIB is controversial.
