Ancient spolia can be found incorporated in the walls. - Below: The church apparently sits on the Hellenistic theatre (3rd century BC) of which there is only a sign and a ring of stones visible today. |

Above: The ancient agora, probably third century BC, is quite near but fenced and locked. From outside the fence there is not very much to see. - Below: Also to be seen from outside the fence are the scanty remains of an Early Christian basilica, 5th-6th century AD, the so-called "Basilica of Thyrsos" just next to the agora. |
