Above: At the small port of Paralia Agiou Andreas. - Below: On a hill at the shore next to Paralia Agiou Andreas is the acropolis of ancient Anthene. It was a fortified enceinte of the 5th-4th century BC of which remains are visible down to the lower areas. It includes walls of irregular stones and of those with beautiful polygonal masonry.
