GREECE PELOPONNESE ACHAIA AIGION

The modern town of Aigion is exactly at the same place as the ancient settlement so that there are not too many remains preserved. One exception, however, is the Mycenaean cemetery near Psila Alonia square just next to Solomou street. Of the 30 known chamber tombs, in use since the LH II period (beginning of the 16th century BC), only about ten are visible today. The site is not well presented, rubbish lying around.
