The tell (toumba) of Agios Mamas seen from the East (above left) and from the West (above right). The hill was inhabited from the end of the Neolithic into the Iron Age (3000-800 BC).

On the hill there is not very much to be seen, since the sensitive parts of the excavations, beginning 1928 and since 1993 continued by the German Archaeological Institute, have been covered. - I have not visited the Early Bronze Age cemetery on the West side of the hill during my short stay in 2013.
