The acropolis of Oga lies on a flat hilltop near the sea on the eastern side of the Methana peninsula. Due to surface finds it was probably the site of a settlement from the Early to the Late Helladic period (i.e. about 3000-1100 BC) and besides massive fortification walls there are a few Hellenistic remains. But although an inscription dedicated to Poseidon Fytalmios was found there have not been any excavations until now. Neither Pausanias nor any other ancient author mentions Oga. |

From the acropolis of Oga there are wonderful views to the Saronic Gulf - the island of Aegina is a neighbor. |
